Aug 12, 2010 - 10:17 PMDude, I'm honestly loving the PDP Platinum kit! It's amazing, definitely worth the price. I'd suggest buying new heads right away though. The stock heads made it sound terrible, I was worried and then fell in love when I swapped heads haha.

Jul 20, 2010 - 07:24 PMHey dude. I hope you got home safely. It was a blast for me to hang with you guys at the camp. You in particular are a cool dude. The future is bright with guys like you in the world. Do your HOMEWORK :) You play great man. Thanks for making the old man feel welcome. A birthday to remember fo sure. When I get a good phone I will get you number or you can email it to gazd9@yahoo.com if you want to. I miss you guys. Oh do you have any info on Jensyn? He does not seem to have a profile. No surprise there. Say Hi to your Mom for me. Later Mike_G

Jul 15, 2010 - 07:03 PMJustin, I had to come by and tell you what an awesome job you did playing on Mike's Facebook video. I'm not sure what song you played, but you nailed it like you owned it. Solid timing, and great showmanship. I must have watched it four times already! Tino

Jan 07, 2010 - 01:16 PMDude, I know you've only been playing since like August but MAN!!! Your videos show you need to switch your level to at least intermediate. You've made amazing progression in such a short time. I'm sure you could take-down a ton of "intermediate" drummers (including myself) and probably some advanced guys too. You are an inspiration to me and many others. Thank-you for making me want to get better. Matt

Jan 04, 2010 - 06:46 PMMan your a trip. Your new video had me crackin up. Awesome job on your kick speed. Your way faster than me man for real. And you've got your dbl's at 200, bro i'm stuck at 180. I say all that to say your doin great man. Keep it up, your way better than you think. Also start playing everything you can with quarter notes on the high hat, that will really help with that coordination. Like Mike says use it like a metronome. The way I look at everything now is that if I can't play it with quarter notes on the hi hat then I can't play it at all. Just move that right hand to the ride and work it out man. Later

Nov 03, 2009 - 12:36 PMit's not hard at all, but it opens a lot of stuff to do in fils and even for cordination and rhythms.. you'll see.. i'm holding myself now NOT TO TELL YOU ANYTHING :). It's not that awesome, but i'm really proud of this one... thank you for giving me an idea, you always inspirate me... but i would anyways sell you for a new snare drum (sorry, that's my deal with H. we sell people for snare drums :) :) hehe)... Nov 03, 2009 - 12:20 PMhey man, just wanted to say that today i was working on your challenge for abuot 2-3 hours :) :) it was so fun man.. I made my version, i think you will really really like it :) :). I totally understand you with the paradiddle-diddles, they're so fun to play and easy for the hands... the only thing is that I lost my camera battery charger, so i couldn't record anything :( :( i'm so depressed... but, as soon as i get it, i shall film it and post as a response to your challenge.. can't wait.. :)

Oct 24, 2009 - 08:40 PMhey my bro'! wazzup? i hope you nailed the exams like you nailed the doubles :). I just watched your video man, and really just wanted to say that your support mean a world to me... i'm always afraid that people will think that i don't take things seriously enough, but when I hear something like that i'm really happy. You know i'm an old fan of your videos, so lately it's strange that my idols in videos and drums :D (you and Mike) actually watch my stuff and have fun while watching. So really bro' thank you for that! :) Also, you probably remembered just my name from the videos 'cause i posted five of them in like 2-3 days :)! But i won't do that anymore, i just had some time and inspiration so i made the most of it. Also i don't want to overload the channel :). So i have to go to sleep very much, cause it's 4:39 and i was out (saturday night :). So anyways, i'll really work on your challenge, and really i hope that it will help me atleast at the speed of moving my hands and muscle memory... so we shall se.. see you bro'! :) Dimitrij

Oct 24, 2009 - 07:19 PMHey Justin, just watched your Cumbia video and dude you nailed it. Also i can agree with what youre saying about how youd rather rock out sometimes then learn weird jungle grooves lol, but from experiance what ive learned is that even if you never use them, just learning them and getting a certain feel for something new can improve your skill so much. Great job on youre vids man! -Lee

Thanks! means alot, no worries. It is crazy i have to relearn everything right handed but the drum world is cruel and left handers are not well accepted in terms of kit setup. Im actually right handed in terms of writing etc but for some reason startied playing drums left as it felt more comfortable! Al

Flam Kick Kick
Sep 25, 2009 - 08:03 AMJust thought I'd throw my suggestion in here. When trying to incorporate the hihat into a lick I usually just go full on muscle memory with my other limbs. So flam kick kick until I don't even have to think about it. Then, one at a time I add my left foot. Actually for this one I added the foot on 1 and 4 since they came very naturally with the right hand. Did that until it was muscle memory then added the hihat on 2, then evenutally on 3. I had to practice the 3 for a while. Adding a hihat on the 2nd beat of a 2 kick grouping felt very unnatural. It was at this point that I took my hands out completely so I could focus just on the coordination between both feet. Good luck.

Your Welcome Bro...
Sep 21, 2009 - 08:19 PMJustin, it was my pleasure to try and help you out. I hope the video did. You just don't know how inspiring you are to me and many others in this drumming community. Keep practicing and working on that muscle memory. Remember the only thing between where you are now and being an advanced drummer is time. That's the way I try to look at it. Every time I sit at the kit to practice I look at it as one step further towards being the type of drummer I want to be. Keep up the great work!

Aug 24, 2009 - 05:45 AMHey Justin, your doubles are crazy good and the new groove vid sounds great. one tiny thing you could try to improve your overall technique is turn that rack tom a little flatter so you dont change the way you play it compared to the other 2 drums.
